This necklace is organic at its finest. This Ammonite fossil (an extinct shelled cephalopod that lived 66 million years ago) has beautiful tones of rust, sage green, browns and creams. I set it in copper and got funky with the textures, bumps, and crimps. I twisted a brass wire around the edges to finish this very unique piece.

Materials: Ammonite, copper, brass.

Measurements: The copper chain is 19" long. The pendant measures 2" wide x 2" long.

Jewelry Care: To preserve the patina, avoid immersing it in water or getting hand/body lotion on it. As with most metals, over time the necklace will tarnish due to body oils. It can be polished with any jewelry cloth. Just take care to only polish the raised areas, as the cloth will remove the patina. To preserve the patina, I recommend keeping it stored in a plastic bag.

Shipping: Your one-of-a-kind piece is available and ships within three business days. It ships in a sturdy box, along with a pretty cool decorative package, suitable for gift-giving. Please see Shipping Policy below for more details.
